Where your circumstances require specialist legal, tax, financial or other regulated advice, we may recommend that you obtain independent advice or introduce you to an appropriately qualified or authorised third-party professional.
Any third-party professional introduced to you is responsible for the advice and services that they provide to you.

4. Information on This Website
The information provided on this website is for general information purposes only.

Where you instruct Alexander Legacy to assist with the preparation of a Will, we will obtain information from you about your wishes and circumstances and provide the service agreed with you.
You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information.
You should carefully review your Will and any accompanying documentation before signing.
Alexander Legacy cannot guarantee that a Will will achieve a particular tax, inheritance or financial outcome.
The validity and effectiveness of a Will can depend upon matters including its contents, execution, testamentary capacity, applicable law and changes in circumstances.
We strongly recommend that you tell us if your circumstances change after your Will has been prepared.
Circumstances that may warrant reviewing your Will include marriage, divorce, separation, the birth or adoption of children, death of a beneficiary or executor, significant changes in assets, changes in tax legislation or changes in your wishes.
6. Lasting Powers of Attorney
Alexander Legacy may assist clients with the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
The client is responsible for providing accurate information and confirming that the information recorded in the LPA reflects their wishes.
An LPA must be correctly completed, signed and certified in accordance with the applicable requirements before it can be registered.
Registration is undertaken through the Office of the Public Guardian where applicable.
Alexander Legacy does not guarantee that an LPA application will be accepted or registered where information is incomplete, inaccurate or otherwise fails to meet the applicable requirements.
7. Trust Planning
Trust planning can involve significant legal, tax and financial considerations.
Where we provide trust-planning services, the precise scope of those services will be explained to you before work begins.
Depending upon the nature and complexity of your circumstances, we may recommend that you obtain independent legal or tax advice or refer you to an appropriately qualified professional.
You should not establish or enter into a trust solely on the basis of general information contained on our website.
8. Third-Party Professional Referrals

This may include:

Where a third party provides advice or services directly to you, that third party is responsible for its own advice, recommendations, products, fees and services.
You are free to decide whether to proceed with any third-party recommendation or introduction.
Where Alexander Legacy receives a referral fee, commission or other commercial benefit from a third-party introduction, we will disclose this where required by applicable law or regulation.

Where applicable under consumer law, you have a statutory right to cancel a contract for services within 14 days of entering into the contract without giving a reason.

12. Requesting Work to Begin During the Cancellation Period
If you ask us to begin providing services before the expiry of the 14-day cancellation period, you may expressly request that we begin work immediately.
Where you make such a request and subsequently exercise a statutory cancellation right, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services properly supplied up to the point at which you cancelled, where permitted by applicable law.
If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period following your express request and acknowledgement of the consequences of requesting early performance, your statutory cancellation right may cease where permitted by law.
We will provide the relevant information and obtain any required confirmation before beginning work in circumstances where this is required.
13. Refunds
Where you validly cancel a contract and a refund is due, we will process the refund in accordance with applicable consumer law and the terms applicable to your particular service.
Where you have expressly requested that services begin during the cancellation period, any lawful deduction for services already supplied may apply.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
This includes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Subject to the above, we will take reasonable care and skill when providing our services.
We are not responsible for losses caused by:
- inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by you;
- your failure to follow reasonable instructions;
- changes in your circumstances that you do not tell us about;
